1. A photograph to me can become much more than just an "image", to me, it a capturing of a moment in time that you will never relive again. They can be filled with memories and looking back on a photo can make those memories come back to life. Another way to look at a photo is the personality of an image and the way it was taken, helps to express what the picture is about.
2. Size and scale can play a huge role in the power of a photograph yet even the smallest picture is able to have a lot of power. In most cases how ever a bigger image will tend to over whelm the viewer and is easier to draw them into the picture, but if the picture is of very small size but has a lot of detail in it, it can be just as effective.
3. An attractive background is more appealing to the viewer rather than a boring one. Depending on different situations though, More details in the background could be bad because it will distract the viewer from the subject where as a more calm background will help to see the object more. The background can also give more personality to the picture plus the subject. The location will be the background in most cases but not always, the object and and location can tie together the meaning of the picture.
4. To make my pictures stronger using JR's picture I can now see how he makes things "less literal" in a sense that he makes them his own and really challenges the viewer to understand what is going on in the photos he's taken. I will also try to make my objects in my photos more obvious. My photos will be more impactful if I can work harder to gain these qualities in my pictures and challenge the viewers to see what I see, from being two different people.
